Albert Ward is an American impressionist who uses nature themed works to embrace the viewer's own tapestry of emotions, freedoms, and past innocence. He often emerges himself in nature as a means to quiet the human spirit and build upon ones' humbleness and inspired spiritual connection with God's creations.
Working mainly in oil on canvas, he covers a diversity of nature themed subjects including landscapes surrounding his current studio in the Texas Hill Country and other remarkable locations traveled over his career. His paintings tend to be very gestural and bold in color that playfully drift between abstract and realism as the subject inspires him. "Figurative subjects have also been my long term interest, enjoying people from old world cultures and exotic settings".
